In the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, security forces successfully eliminated Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Jabar Shah during a targeted operation. Two of Shah’s associates were also wounded in the process.
Jabar Shah was a key TTP commander involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies and polio teams. He was also responsible for extorting money from local residents on behalf of the terrorist organization.
Shah’s death marks the second significant achievement for security forces in the region, following an operation just a day earlier that resulted in the deaths of two other terrorists.
The elimination of Jabar Shah and his associates deals a significant blow to TTP’s operations in the area and is expected to disrupt their activities throughout the region.
