Government and PTI Commence Negotiation Talks to Bridge Differences

Negotiations between the government and opposition parties kicked off on Thursday, in an attempt to end the constitutional and political deadlock surrounding the upcoming general elections. The discussions, which were held in the Parliament House Committee Room, were suggested by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

24NewsHD TV channel reported that both parties aim to come to a consensus on holding the general elections on a single day. The government delegation is being led by Ishaq Dar, Azam Nazir Tarr, and Saad Rafiq from PML-N, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Naveed Qamar from PPP, and Kishwar Zahra from MQM. On the other hand, PTI is represented by Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Ali Zafar, and Fawad Chaudhry.
