According to the details, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif while addressing the inauguration ceremony of 1320 MW Shanghai Electric Project in Thar Park said that the project will lead to the development of Pakistan, Thar has changed today due to decades of hard work and better strategy.
The electricity being generated in Thar will cost billions of dollars if imported coal is used. Some people are saying that electricity cannot be generated on the basis of coal. Thar coal can generate thousands of megawatts of electricity for 100 years, we should not get confused.
He said that unfortunately since 4 years no equal work has been done, the enemies of Pakistan’s development will be defeated. The coalition government considers CPEC as a part of development.
The next phase of CPEC is Agriculture, Technology and Economic Zones, which will not give shelter to terrorists in the country. While Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in his address that the work on Thar coal has been going on for 4 years, the Federation and Sindh are working together, the shape of Thar Park has changed in a few years. There has been improvement in education, health and employment but conspirators are busy in propaganda. He said that because of Manso Bay, people are coming to work in Thar, we used to hear in Tumazi that people are coming to Karachi from Tharparkar. Thar Coal Block One has code, coal mine and power generation project. The project has been completed as per international standards including latest technology.
