Respect Nawaz Sharif’s opinion but reference should not be filed against judges, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

Today there is a need for political, judicial and military leadership, today there is a need for the leadership to move forward and retreat from their own interests, the PML-N leader said.

Former Prime Minister and senior leader of Muslim League-N Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said in a statement that Nawaz Sharif’s opinion should be respected but reference should not be filed against judges. Speaking to the private TV channel Geo News, he said that today there is a need for political, judicial and military leadership.

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the Chief Justice has damaged the reputation of the institution by not listening to the matter of forming a full bench, but filing a reference against the judges of the Supreme Court will create division in the judiciary. He said that it was necessary for the Chief Justice to save the reputation of his institution, he did not save the reputation of the institution and the decision became controversial.

A reference should be filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against three judges: Nawaz Sharif when asked that Nawaz Sharif is wrongly demanding to file a reference? So Shahid Khaqan said that Mian Nawaz Sharif has expressed his opinion, I respect the opinion of Mian Nawaz Sharif, if there is any ground then it should be referenced, I don’t know on which grounds the government is thinking.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that today there is a need for political, judicial and military leadership, today there is a need for the leadership to move forward and withdraw from their own interests. It should be noted that recently Nawaz Sharif had demanded the government to file a reference against the judges included in the three-member bench of the Supreme Court. Nawaz Sharif said that a reference should be filed in the Supreme Judicial Council on the decision against these three judges. This decision is the charge sheet against these judges. They have rewritten the constitution. Minister of Defence, Minister of Interior, Chief Election Commissioner and Parliament should be made, why is the full court not made? Why insist on three judges?

On the other hand, former Prime Minister and Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif has said that a reference should be filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against three judges, including Supreme Court Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial. While giving a press conference in London, Nawaz Sharif said that a prime minister like us is pushed and a dictator is hugged, I was called godfather and Sicilian mafia, I don’t understand the double standard, how will the governments in Pakistan run now? As is happening in Pakistan, does it happen in South Asia or other countries of the world? He said that we have been seeing this for 70 years, since 1953, decisions have been coming under the theory of necessity, for 70 years we have been seeing the same spectacle again and again, the elected government is thrown out.
