Emirates and Etihad Expand Interline Partnership, Offering Passengers Greater Flexibility in Travel Options

UAE’s leading airlines, Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways, have entered into a unique partnership agreement to offer travelers more convenient and flexible itinerary options when visiting the country.

Starting this summer, passengers of both airlines can purchase a single ticket to fly into either Dubai or Abu Dhabi and seamlessly return via the other airport. This “open jaw” arrangement enables visitors to explore Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or any other emirate more efficiently without needing to fly back through their arrival airport. Additionally, customers can enjoy one-stop ticketing for their entire journey and easier baggage check-in.

The new agreement also offers “multi-city flights,” allowing passengers to travel from one city on both carriers’ networks and conveniently return to another point served by either Emirates or Etihad. Initially, the carriers will focus on attracting visitors to the UAE by developing inbound interline traffic from select points in Europe and China.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at the Arabian Travel Market by Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, and Mohammad Al Bulooki, Chief Operating Officer of Etihad Airways, in the presence of Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, and Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad, along with other senior representatives.
