Public Safety and Security Hold Utmost Importance, COAS claims.

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir declared the safety and security of the public as the top priority and emphasized loyalty to Pakistan and the constitutional role of its armed forces during a speech at the passing-out parade of Pakistan Army’s 147th Long Course at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday.

General Munir addressed the commitment of the armed forces to defend the country, warning against enemies seeking to create a divide between the people and the armed forces. He stated that loyalty to Pakistan and the assigned constitutional role of its armed forces is the foremost duty.

The Army Chief encouraged the cadets to live up to the nation’s expectations and emphasized unity regardless of caste, color, creed, gender, or geography. He asserted that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be mistaken for weakness, emphasizing the nation’s capability and capacity to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

General Munir praised the determination of Pakistani soldiers, who remain unfazed by their adversaries’ numbers and resources. He vowed to eliminate terrorism, acknowledging the sacrifices necessary for achieving long-lasting peace and stability.

Discussing the ongoing crises in the country, General Munir emphasized the need to identify both exposed and hidden enemies while preserving and solidifying the bond between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan. He highlighted the significance of peace on the western borders and confirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris in their struggle for human rights and self-determination.

The Inter-Services Public Relations reported that cadets from Palestine, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, and Sri Lanka also participated in the passing-out parade. General Asim Munir reviewed the parade and presented awards to distinguished cadets.
