Canadian Parliament Members Highlight Human Rights Violation In Pakistan

  • 16 parliament members wrote letter to Canadian PM.

16 Canadian Parliament Members on Saturday penned a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, regarding human right violation in Pakistan.

The letter mentioned that peaceful protests should be allowed in Pakistan, added that arrest of innocent civilians, journalists and others is condemnable.

The members also demanded that the arrested persons should be tried in civil courts.

Letter also demanded that allegations against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan should be clarified in open court.

Added, Pakistanis should decide their fate through free and transparent elections.

The Canadian parliament members are awaiting strong response from Justin Trudeau on the situation of Pakistan.

The letter was signed by parliament members including Iqra Khalid, Shafqat Ali, Sameer Zuberi, Paul Xiang, Yasir Naqvi and others.
